  • I had hoped that I wouldn't have to leave a bad review, but after being ghosted by Cinecore I'm not left with another option.

    The problems I faced:

    - I had been promised a partial refund, but that was almost a month ago and it's not gone anywhere since then.

    - The camera component of my booking was changed 3 times in the days leading up to pick-up.

    - I was not able to use the Tilta addition (which I paid for) to the DJI RS2 because the battery was unable to charge, shown to me at kit handover by Cinecore as they couldn’t charge it the previous night.

    - The camera had a speck on the image that I couldn’t remove. I cleaned the lens, and saw nothing on the sensor.

    - The camera battery pack on the listing is advertised as a dual charger but is only a single.

    - The 2 microphones I'd booked and paid for weren’t included in the kit handover, so it was expected that I had to then travel myself to a second location to pick them up.

Cinekit is taking a pause

When we started cinekit, we wanted to build a community of trusted lenders and renters, who could make connections on and off the site. Now, 3 years on, we're a community of hundreds of creatives, and we're so proud of what we've built together.

However, running a rental site isn’t without its challenges. It requires a lot of time and energy to make sure everything runs smoothly, and to continue developing the features we all need to keep growing our businesses. Recently, balancing that with our other projects has become a little tricky.

Our community deserves the best service, and so we’ve decided a pause is the right move.

We’ve no doubt that we’ll be back in the future, but for now, thank you so much for trusting us and being part of the cinekit community.
